BF Investment Limited, a Kalyani Group investment holding company, reported Q1 FY26 standalone total income of Rs 109.27 million, up about 41% from Rs 77.23 million in Q1 FY25, driven by higher interest income (Rs 73.88M vs Rs 52.37M). Standalone profit after tax rose to Rs 72.39 million from Rs 62.25 million, a ~16% increase, with EPS at Rs 1.92 vs Rs 1.65. However, consolidated PAT fell sharply to Rs 384.38 million from Rs 1,826.11 million YoY, mainly because the share of profit from associates (Kalyani Steels, KSL Holdings, etc.) dropped to Rs 416.11M from Rs 2,356.37M. The company noted that dividend income, its main revenue source, typically accrues in Q2. The auditor (PG Bhagwat LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report on both results.
Standalone results are healthy and in line with expectations, but the sharp drop in consolidated profit due to weaker associate performance may weigh on the stock. Investors should watch the Q2 results, when the bulk of dividend income is recognized, for a clearer picture of full-year earnings.
