BF Utilities has published a reminder notice about a SEBI-mandated special window allowing investors to convert physical shares into dematerialized (demat) form. This window is open from February 5, 2026 to February 4, 2027, covering securities purchased or sold before April 1, 2019. It also covers previously rejected or unattended transfer requests. Transferred securities will be credited in demat mode only and placed under a one-year lock-in period during which they cannot be transferred, lien-marked, or pledged. The company and its Registrar and Transfer Agent (RTA) have set up dedicated teams to handle these requests.
This is a routine compliance notice with no direct financial impact on the company or its stock. Shareholders holding physical shares purchased before April 2019 now have a one-year window to complete dematerialization, which will eventually reduce administrative overhead for the company.
