The Kerala High Court has revoked the temporary suspension on user fee collection at the Paliyekkara Toll Plaza operated by Guruvayoor Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of BRNL, with effect from 17th October 2025. The earlier suspension, ordered on 6th August 2025 for four weeks in response to a PIL, had halted tolling at this asset. The court has now directed that toll rates will be the same as those prevailing on 6th August 2025, meaning no upward revision for the period of suspension. This restores the subsidiary's revenue stream from this toll plaza.
Positive for BRNL shareholders — toll revenue from Paliyekkara resumes after a ~2.5-month halt, supporting cash flows of the subsidiary. The unchanged toll rates (no catch-up hike) limit the upside but remove a key overhang on earnings.
