Bharat Seats Limited reported strong growth for Q2 FY26, with revenue from operations rising about 58% year-on-year to Rs. 45,860.44 lakhs and profit after tax up about 39% to Rs. 990.18 lakhs. For the first half of FY26, revenue jumped roughly 50% to Rs. 88,566.58 lakhs and PAT grew about 39% to Rs. 1,907.77 lakhs, translating to an H1 EPS of Rs. 3.04 versus Rs. 2.18 a year ago. The auditor's limited review report carried no qualifications, but included an emphasis-of-matter note flagging the ongoing income tax search from FY24 where demands of about Rs. 2,243.72 lakhs plus a Rs. 524.28 lakh penalty are under appeal. Operating and net profit margins, however, compressed compared to last year, suggesting costs grew faster than revenue. The board also designated Mr. Bhaskar Kumar, currently AVP-Purchase & SCM, as a Senior Management Personnel effective November 5, 2025.
Strong top-line and profit growth is a positive for shareholders, but the margin compression and the unresolved income tax matter of over Rs. 27 crore in pending demands are watch-items that could weigh on sentiment. The senior management appointment is a routine governance update and is unlikely to move the stock.
