Bharat Seats Limited reported strong Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results, with revenue from operations rising to Rs. 427.06 crore, up about 43% from Rs. 298.85 crore in Q1 FY25. Net profit grew nearly 39% YoY to Rs. 9.18 crore from Rs. 6.61 crore, while profit before tax came in at Rs. 12.34 crore versus Rs. 8.89 crore. EPS stood at Rs. 1.46 (vs Rs. 1.05 in Q1 FY25, restated for the 1:1 bonus issue in December 2024). The Board also approved the creation of a CSR Trust jointly with associate NDR Auto Components Limited and appointed Mr. Suman Yadav (SVP, Operations) as a Senior Management Personnel, effective July 29, 2025. The auditor's review report carries an emphasis-of-matter note on an ongoing income tax search from FY24, with disputed demands of Rs. 22.44 crore plus a penalty of Rs. 5.24 crore that the company is contesting in appeal.
The sharp YoY jump in revenue and profit reflects robust demand in the auto seating/components business and should be viewed positively by investors. However, the unresolved income tax matter remains a key risk to monitor. The management appointment and CSR trust creation are routine governance actions with no direct bearing on stock price.
