BharatRohan has successfully built a working prototype of an indigenous snapshot hyperspectral imaging camera designed for drone platforms. The camera captures data across hundreds of wavelengths for use in agriculture, defence, mining, industrial inspection and pharmaceuticals. Field trials will begin shortly, followed by further refinement before commercial launch. The move aims to reduce dependence on imported technology and supports the company expansion beyond agriculture into high-value sectors.
Positive for long-term growth and margins by enabling in-house hardware and entry into new sectors, though no immediate revenue impact.
