Bharti Airtel completed Phase 1 of a partnership with 4 Corps of Indian Army to strengthen mobile connectivity in remote Arunachal Pradesh. Airtel deployed network infrastructure across 30 Army stations in difficult mountainous terrain, becoming the first operator to deliver reliable mobile service in the region. The Indian Army provided logistical support for fibre, power, and equipment transport. Phase 2 has been agreed upon, covering 15 additional locations. The initiative supports both military and civil personnel connectivity in frontier areas.
Reinforces Airtel's rural network expansion and execution capability in tough terrain, with potential to secure more defence-linked and remote area contracts.
