India business excluding passive generated Rs.72,500 Crores EBITDAaL with 51.7% margin. Q4 revenue came in at Rs.55,400 Crores with sequential growth of 2.6%. The Board approved a share swap transaction to acquire an additional 16.3% stake in Airtel Africa (no cash deal). Key new growth bets include data centers (Nxtra raising $1 billion), financial services (NBFC license received from RBI, loan disbursements at Rs.550 Crores/month run rate), and Airtel Cloud (24 deals secured). ARPU was Rs.257 with management expressing dissatisfaction and committing to accelerate growth through postpaid penetration and pricing architecture correction. Dividend was increased 50% to Rs.24 per share.
Bharti Airtel continues to demonstrate strong operational performance with improving margins and cash flows. The management's focus on accelerating ARPU growth and expanding into new digital adjacencies while maintaining a progressive dividend policy is positive for shareholders. The Africa stake acquisition without cash outflow is value-accretive.
