Bharti Airtel's enterprise arm, Airtel Business, has partnered with US-based Swift Navigation to launch 'Airtel-Skylark Precise Positioning Service' — India's first AI/ML-powered, cloud-based GNSS correction service. The offering improves location accuracy by up to 100x compared to standard GPS, enabling centimetre-level precision for applications such as advanced driver-assistance systems, autonomous vehicles, satellite-based tolling, fleet management, digital mapping, agriculture and emergency response. The service combines Swift Navigation's Skylark technology with Airtel's pan-India 4G/5G network under an exclusive partnership. The initial rollout will cover a 35,000 sq km area around the National Capital Region (NCR) later this year, with phased expansion across India planned shortly after.
This expands Airtel Business's B2B IoT and enterprise portfolio into the high-growth precise-positioning market, creating a new revenue stream beyond traditional telecom.
