BHEL reported a provisional revenue of Rs. 27,350 crores for FY 2024-25, up roughly 19% from the previous year. The company secured its highest-ever order inflows of Rs. 92,534 crores during the year, taking its total order book to a record Rs. 1,95,922 crores at year-end. Power sector orders led the way at Rs. 81,349 crores, while the industrial segment (including transportation, defence, process industries, and industrial equipment) brought in Rs. 11,185 crores. BHEL also commissioned/synchronised 8.1 GW of power capacity, signalling solid execution.
This is a strong positive for shareholders – double-digit revenue growth combined with a record order book that is roughly 7x annual revenue provides strong revenue visibility for FY26 and beyond. The stock is likely to react positively, as the numbers point to a strong growth trajectory and reduced execution risk.
