Bhilwara Spinners Ltd reported a sharp jump in turnover to Rs. 2,496.82 lakhs in FY25, up from Rs. 940.24 lakhs in FY24 (about 165% growth), driven by the commencement of commercial production on 27 December 2024. Profit after tax was nearly flat at Rs. 173.06 lakhs versus Rs. 173.39 lakhs last year, as higher depreciation (Rs. 71.9 lakhs vs Rs. 2.05 lakhs) and exceptional items of Rs. 67 lakhs ate into operating gains. PBIDT improved to Rs. 331.5 lakhs from Rs. 222 lakhs, but the PBIDT margin compressed sharply from about 24% to around 13% as fixed costs kicked in post scale-up. Net worth rose to Rs. 4,531 lakhs and book value per share improved to Rs. 50. No dividend has been recommended due to the company's financial position. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified opinion with no qualifications. The board has appointed M/s CLB & Associates as the new statutory auditor for a five-year term in place of M/s ABN & Co.
For shareholders, the strong revenue jump reflects successful commissioning of manufacturing operations, but flat PAT and margin compression show the business is still in a ramp-up phase with elevated costs. No dividend means near-term cash returns are nil, though net worth and book value have improved marginally. Stock may see limited reaction as the operational scale-up is already partly known.
