Bihar Sponge Iron Ltd has informed BSE that operations at its manufacturing plant have been temporarily suspended. The plant was being operated by M/s Vanraj Steels Private Limited under a Facility User Agreement signed on 30th December 2020. Vanraj suddenly stopped operations on the evening of 6th February 2026 without any prior notice or official communication to the company. Bihar Sponge Iron has stated it will provide further updates as the situation develops. The disclosure was made under SEBI LODR Regulation 30.
Unexpected halt by the third-party plant operator means BSIL currently has no clear visibility on when operations will resume, which could affect revenue from the facility usage arrangement and creates near-term uncertainty for shareholders.
