Bikaji Foods reported Q1 FY26 revenue of INR 6,527 million, up 14.2% year-on-year driven by 7.5% underlying volume growth. Gross margin improved to 35.0% (up 109 bps YoY) on softening input costs, helping EBITDA grow 29.9% sequentially to INR 963 million. However, EBITDA margin at 14.8% was down 128 bps YoY, and PAT of INR 585 million rose just 1.3% YoY (though up 46% QoQ). The company highlighted its Nepal joint venture with C.G. Foods Nepal Ltd. for snacks manufacturing and distribution, along with continued direct distribution expansion to 12.34 lakh outlets. Traditional snacks (the core category) grew 11.2% in value.
Margin recovery on a sequential basis and robust volume growth signal improving operational health, though the YoY EBITDA margin contraction may temper near-term sentiment. The Nepal JV opens a new growth market and could be a positive longer-term trigger for shareholders.
