Binance to suspend crypto services in several EU countries

Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, will suspend crypto asset services in France and several other EU countries from July 1, 2026, after withdrawing its MiCA authorisation application in Greece. The exchange cited the approaching end of the MiCA transition period without a formal regulatory decision as the reason, and said user assets remain safe and accessible. The move underscores ongoing regulatory pressure on Binance, whose co-founder Changpeng Zhao served prison time in 2024 after pleading guilty to US anti-money-laundering violations.
