Biocon shared its Q4 and Full Year FY25 results. Q4 revenue from operations grew 15% year-on-year to ₹4,417 crore, while core EBITDA rose 16% to ₹1,363 crore (31% margin). Reported net profit jumped to ₹344 crore from ₹136 crore a year ago. For the full year FY25, total revenue was ₹16,470 crore (up 8.2%) with net profit of ₹1,013 crore. The Generics business had its strongest quarter, up 46% YoY at ₹1,048 crore, led by launches of Lenalidomide in the US, Liraglutide in the UK, and Dasatinib in the US. Biosimilars grew 9% YoY in Q4, with the US launch of Yesintek (a Stelara biosimilar) and a settlement with Regeneron securing US entry for Yesafili by H2 2026. Syngene crossed the ₹1,000 crore quarterly revenue mark for the first time and acquired a new biologics manufacturing facility in the US.
Strong quarter driven by new product launches, especially in Generics, and improving profitability, which should be viewed positively by investors. However, management flagged pricing pressure and higher plant-related costs in the Generics segment, which may cap near-term margin expansion despite healthy top-line growth.
