Birla Corporation's board approved audited Q4 and FY25 results on 9th May 2025. Consolidated FY25 revenue fell to ₹9,214.49 Cr from ₹9,656.22 Cr last year, with net profit dropping to ₹295.22 Cr from ₹420.56 Cr; EPS stood at ₹38.34 vs ₹54.61. A 100% dividend of ₹10 per share (₹77.01 Cr total) was recommended. The company also approved a Greenfield Cement Grinding Unit of 2.80 MTPA capacity at Gaya, Bihar, and the issuance of redeemable non-convertible debentures up to ₹200 Cr on private placement. MD & CEO Sandip Ghose was re-appointed for 3 years from 1st Jan 2026, while Non-Executive Non-Independent Director Dilip Ganesh Karnik resigned citing other commitments. A new secretarial auditor, M/s Mamta Binani & Associates, was appointed for 5 years. A ₹38.37 Cr impairment was booked on mining rights in Himachal Pradesh.
Profitability declined year-on-year with both revenue and net profit contracting, partly due to an exceptional impairment charge, which may weigh on near-term sentiment. However, the dividend, capacity expansion in Bihar, and fresh fund-raising plan signal confidence in future growth and liquidity.
