Birla Corporation reported consolidated revenue of Rs 9,655.61 Crores for FY26, up 4.8% from Rs 9,214.49 Crores in FY25. Net profit after tax surged 88.9% to Rs 557.58 Crores from Rs 295.22 Crores. Operating margin expanded from 13.40% to 15.28% and net profit margin doubled from 3.25% to 5.86%. EPS improved to Rs 72.41 from Rs 38.34. Exceptional items include Rs 35.68 Crores additional provision for West Bengal incentive receivables (total provision Rs 97.87 Crores), Rs 28.05 Crores impairment on mining rights in Himachal Pradesh and Maharashtra, partially offset by Rs 91.32 Crores incentive income from Maharashtra PSI scheme. RCCPL commissioned a third grinding line at Kundanganj adding 1.4 million ton capacity. Board recommended dividend of Rs 12.50 per share (125%) aggregating Rs 96.26 Crores.
Strong financial performance with near doubling of PAT driven by margin expansion and operational efficiency improvements. The West Bengal incentive dispute and mining impairments present contingent risks but overall financial health indicators including improved debt equity ratio (0.51 vs 0.56) and debt service coverage (1.73 vs 1.22) are positive for shareholders.
