The Calcutta High Court, by its order dated 17 December 2025, disposed of application GA/1/2023 (filed in CS/186/2023) and held that the Interim Order passed on 5 September 2023 has expired. Consequently, there is no longer any restriction (embargo) on the Company or the defendants from giving effect to decisions taken at the Annual General Meeting held on 5 September 2023. In effect, a prior court restriction that had been holding up the implementation of the 2023 AGM decisions has now been cleared. This removes the legal cloud over those resolutions and allows the company to proceed with them.
Positive for shareholders — the company is now legally free to act on resolutions passed at the September 2023 AGM, removing a longstanding uncertainty. No penalties or adverse findings were imposed on the company.
