Orient Paper & Industries Limited, a member of the promoter group of Birlanu Limited, sold its entire 9,06,360 equity shares (12.02% of total capital) to four other promoter group entities — Central India Industries, Ashok Investment Corporation, Shekhavati Investments and Traders, and Gwalior Finance Corporation — on 29th May 2025 via inter-se block deals on the stock exchange. The transaction is part of an internal restructuring exercise within the CK Birla Group's promoter entities. As a result, Orient Paper's stake dropped from 12.02% to 0%, while Central India Industries rose from 14.25% to 18.65%, Shekhavati Investments from 2.98% to 7.38%, Ashok Investment from 4.21% to 4.80%, and Gwalior Finance from 1.28% to 3.91%. Total promoter group holding remained unchanged at 30,59,212 shares (40.57%).
This is purely an internal reshuffle among promoter group companies — there is no change in total promoter shareholding or free float, so existing non-promoter shareholders see no dilution or change in promoter control. The stock price is unlikely to be materially impacted as no shares changed hands with public investors.
