Birlasoft reported FY25 revenue of INR 5,375 crore ($635 million), up just 1.8% YoY in rupee terms and flattish in dollars. Q4 revenue declined to $152.2 million due to project closures, ramp-downs, and higher furloughs. Q4 EBITDA margin rose 119 bps QoQ to 13.2%, helped by about 200 bps of one-offs (lower variable pay, currency benefit, leave encashment). Full-year PAT fell to $61.1 million from $75.3 million last year. Deal TCV in Q4 was $236 million, with new deals up 75% QoQ. Cash stood at $259.5 million (up 24% YoY) and the board proposed a final dividend of INR 4 per share, taking FY25 total to INR 6.5 (35% payout). Management guided Q1 FY26 to be muted with possible slight degrowth, expects growth to return from Q2 FY26, and aims to keep margins flat at around 13% in FY26 with improvement only from FY27-FY28.
Near-term outlook remains weak with Q1 FY26 likely to see flat-to-slightly-negative growth and margin pressure as one-off tailwinds fade. Recovery is pushed to Q2 FY26, and meaningful margin expansion is deferred to FY27-FY28, which may keep the stock under pressure until growth visibility improves.
