Black Box Limited reported its Q1 FY26 results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Consolidated revenue came in at ₹1,387 crore, down 3% year-on-year from ₹1,423 crore, as clients delayed equipment procurement due to global tariff uncertainty, pushing revenue recognition into later quarters. Despite the revenue dip, EBITDA grew 1% YoY to ₹116 crore, with margins improving 30 basis points to 8.4%. Profit after tax surged 28% YoY to ₹47 crore, aided by lower exceptional items and reduced taxes, lifting PAT margin by 80 bps to 3.4%. Order backlog stood strong at ₹4,433 crore ($518 million), with fresh order bookings of ₹1,506 crore ($176 million) during the quarter, two-thirds of which were large-value deals. Notable wins included data center projects in the US from a hyperscaler and a top co-location provider, a large financial services project, and an OTT workplace engagement in Latin America.
The stock may react positively given the strong 28% PAT growth, expanding margins, and a robust ₹4,433 crore order backlog that provides good revenue visibility, though the 3% revenue decline and tariff-related execution delays could temper enthusiasm in the near term.
