BMB Music & Magnetics Ltd reported standalone unaudited results for Q1FY26. Revenue from operations rose 50% year-on-year to Rs. 90.00 lakhs (from Rs. 60.00 lakhs in Q1FY25), but other income was nil versus Rs. 28.61 lakhs last year. Profit before tax fell sharply to Rs. 44.80 lakhs from Rs. 98.41 lakhs, and profit after tax dropped about 59% to Rs. 44.80 lakhs (from Rs. 108.15 lakhs), pulling EPS down to Rs. 0.74 from Rs. 1.78. Total expenses jumped to Rs. 45.20 lakhs from negative Rs. 9.80 lakhs, driven by higher raw material costs of Rs. 18.61 lakhs. The statutory auditor (Vinod Singhal & Co. LLP) issued an unmodified limited review report, and the company also appointed M/s ATCS & Associates as secretarial auditor for FY24-25.
Despite top-line growth, sharp compression in profitability is a concern for shareholders, as costs rose much faster than revenue, suggesting margin pressure. The clean auditor report removes an overhang, but investors should watch whether margin recovery is achieved in coming quarters.
