BMW Ventures, a metal trading company, had raised Rs 23,166 lakhs through its IPO in September 2025. Crisil Ratings, the Monitoring Agency, confirmed that proceeds are being used as planned: Rs 17,374.50 lakhs for repaying borrowings (almost fully done), Rs 2,125.50 lakhs for general corporate purposes (used to buy TMT Bars from Tata Steel), and Rs 2,499.30 lakhs for issue expenses. Issue expenses came in Rs 696 lakhs higher than estimated, which reduced the net proceeds available for general corporate purposes from Rs 3,987.70 lakhs to Rs 3,291.70 lakhs. Out of the gross proceeds, Rs 21,999.30 lakhs has been used, leaving Rs 1,166.70 lakhs unutilized and parked in bank accounts. There are no deviations from the stated objects, no delays, and no adverse events affecting the use of funds.
The report is largely positive for shareholders, as IPO funds are being deployed on track with no misuse or deviation. The slight overshoot in issue expenses is a minor negative but does not change the core purpose of the issue. The remaining unutilized amount is small and is expected to be used shortly, so the stock price is unlikely to be meaningfully impacted.
