BN Holdings Limited reported audited FY25 results with a sharp divergence between standalone and consolidated performance. On a consolidated basis, revenue from operations jumped to Rs 29,940.64 lakhs from Rs 708.80 lakhs in FY24, and the company swung to a net profit of Rs 1,975.56 lakhs versus a loss of Rs 312.50 lakhs earlier, driven by newly added subsidiaries in Europe, Singapore and Liberia. On a standalone basis, however, revenue rose to Rs 2,562.89 lakhs but the net loss widened sharply to Rs 5,963.13 lakhs from Rs 312.62 lakhs, hit by high other expenses (Rs 4,996 lakhs) and finance costs (Rs 869 lakhs). The statutory auditor, M/s JSMG & Associates, issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both sets of results. Borrowings rose materially from Rs 120 lakhs to Rs 4,334 lakhs, and operating cash flow remained negative on both bases.
Consolidated profitability masks weak standalone operations; standalone losses are widening and operating cash flow is negative, which may concern investors despite the auditor's clean opinion. Rising borrowings and the dependence on newly consolidated subsidiaries for the turnaround are key items to watch for shareholders.
