BNR Udyog's board, meeting on August 12, 2025, approved the un-audited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) along with the auditor's limited review report. Revenue from operations stood at ₹51.92 lakhs, down from ₹61.84 lakhs in Q1 FY25 — a decline of about 16% year-on-year. However, profit after tax jumped sharply to ₹27.63 lakhs (EPS ₹0.92) from ₹7.74 lakhs (EPS ₹0.26) in the same quarter last year, largely helped by a ₹38.92 lakh fair-value gain on investments. The board also appointed Mr. Janampalli Vikramdev Rao as the new Chairperson, replacing or adding to the existing chairmanship.
Short-term results look strong on the profit line, but this is driven mainly by market-driven fair-value gains on share holdings rather than core business growth, as revenue actually shrank and other expenses nearly doubled. Shareholders should note the leadership change at the board level; the underlying operating performance remains weak.
