Bodal Chemicals reported strong Q4FY26 results with consolidated revenue of Rs. 5,906 mn (up 30% YoY) and PAT of Rs. 321 mn (up 121% YoY). For full year FY26, revenue stood at Rs. 20,539 mn (up 16% YoY) and PAT more than doubled to Rs. 478 mn. EBITDA margins improved to 12.0% in Q4 and 9.9% for FY26. Basic Chemicals segment saw exceptional 80% revenue growth driven by Sulphur price increases, while Chlor Alkali revenue remained flat at Rs. 3,387 mn. The Saykha benzene downstream plant continues to face margin pressure from intense competition, subdued demand, and rising raw material costs. Management highlighted ongoing rationalization of non-core assets and expects improved volumes with better realizations to support margins.
The strong recovery in profitability and margin improvement are positive signals for shareholders. However, the Saykha plant's continued margin pressure and Chinese/Turkish subsidiary headwinds warrant monitoring. The debt reduction and improving working capital days indicate better financial discipline.
