Bodal Chemicals reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results, with consolidated total income rising to Rs 4,582.52 million from Rs 4,244.26 million in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 8%. The company swung back to a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 95.33 million, compared with a loss of Rs 11.75 million in Q1 FY25. Standalone PAT also jumped sharply to Rs 103.42 million from Rs 11.40 million. The board approved the re-appointment of Mr. Mayank K Mehta (Independent Director, 5-year second term) and re-appointments of Mr. Suresh J Patel (CMD, 3 years) and Mr. Bhavin S Patel (Executive Director, 3 years), subject to shareholder approval. The statutory auditor Naresh J. Patel & Co. is being replaced by B N P S and Associates LLP due to a firm merger. The board also approved the sale of 7.86 acres of surplus land at Unit 12 at market rates, and appointed Shah & Shah Associates as the new secretarial auditor for 5 years.
The strong return to profitability after a year-ago loss and the revenue growth suggest improved operational performance, which is positive for shareholders. The auditor change is procedural due to a firm merger and unlikely to affect governance, while the re-appointments of the promoter-family leadership and sale of surplus land to set up a chlorine-consuming unit are aimed at supporting uninterrupted production.
