Mr. Murli Manohar Purohit has resigned from the position of Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of BBTC for personal reasons, effective close of business on 26th June 2025. The Board has appointed Mrs. Gandhali Upadhye as the new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer effective 27th June 2025. Mrs. Upadhye is a Fellow Member of ICSI, holds a Master's in Law, and brings around 25 years of experience from companies including Transrail Lighting, Shapoorji Pallonji Group, Zoom Group, and Su-Raj Diamonds. Separately, the Board approved entering an agreement with MSTC Limited for e-auction services to identify buyers for monetizing certain assets of the company's Plantation business. The notice period mentioned in Mr. Purohit's resignation letter (three months, ending 4th September 2025) appears to have been waived by the Board.
This is a routine KMP-level compliance change and is unlikely to materially impact the stock price. The simultaneous move to monetize Plantation business assets via e-auction is a more notable development that could unlock value if successful.
