The Board approved FY2026 standalone audited results showing total income of Rs.427.27 crore (down from Rs.472.44 crore), with profit after tax surging 76.6% to Rs.210.60 crore (vs Rs.119.24 crore). The significant PAT increase was driven by exceptional gains of Rs.136.30 crore, mainly from sale of Dunsandle tea estate (Rs.87.69 crore). Net profit margin improved sharply to 71.19% from 43.34%. EPS for the year stood at Rs.30.18 versus Rs.17.09. No final dividend is being declared; an interim dividend of Rs.17 per share was already paid in February 2026. The 161st AGM is scheduled for 13th August 2026 with record date 6th August 2026. Borrowings reduced significantly, with debt equity ratio improving to 0.73 from 1.71.
Strong PAT growth driven by asset sales masks underlying operational weakness (operating margin negative at -8.22%). No final dividend beyond the Rs.17 interim is negative for income-focused investors, but the asset monetization strategy is strengthening the balance sheet.
