Bombay Dyeing reported its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited results along with a board update. Standalone revenue from operations fell to ₹377.84 crore from ₹450.97 crore a year ago, a drop of about 16%. The Polyester segment turned from a ₹3.55 crore profit last year to an ₹8.42 crore loss this quarter, while the Real Estate segment had no revenue (vs ₹65.42 crore). Profit after tax slipped to ₹13.76 crore (₹0.67 EPS) from ₹15.47 crore. The auditor (Bansi S. Mehta & Co.) included an Emphasis of Matter note flagging the 2022 SEBI order (₹2.25 crore penalty and 2-year market access bar), which is currently stayed by SAT with order reserved. Separately, the board appointed Mr. Jehangir Nusli Wadia as Vice-Chairman with immediate effect.
Weak operating quarter with revenue decline and segment losses in core Polyester business may pressure the stock; the pending SAT ruling on the SEBI order remains a key overhang for shareholders.
