Brahmaputra Infrastructure reported a strong Q1 FY26 with total operating income rising about 16% year-on-year to ₹92.14 crore from ₹79.38 crore in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax jumped 115.78% to ₹15.04 crore from ₹6.97 crore, and EPS more than doubled to ₹5.18 from ₹2.40. The EPC division led the growth, with segment revenue up 18.66% to ₹88.32 crore and segment profit surging nearly 190% to ₹14.34 crore. The order book stands healthy at around ₹1,050 crore as of June 30, 2025. The auditor flagged two emphasis-of-matter points: recoverability uncertainty around ₹166.32 crore in arbitration/claim receivables and ₹5.44 crore in retention money, and the fact that the impact of 15 joint operations has not yet been incorporated into the financials.
This is a positive result for shareholders with sharply higher profits and improving margins, supported by a robust order book. However, investors should keep an eye on the large unsettled arbitration receivables and the pending joint operation accounting, both of which the auditor highlighted as matters of attention.
