Britannia reported Q4 FY26 revenue of INR 4,686 crores (7.1% growth) and full-year revenue of INR 18,858 crores (7.5% growth). PAT grew 21.1% in Q4 to INR 678 crores due to income tax case closures, while full-year PAT was INR 2,533 crores (16.3% growth) with a margin of 13.4%. Volume growth was 5.5% in Q4. The company faced headwinds from the West Asia conflict affecting its Oman/Dubai operations (vessel unavailability, Strait of Hormuz disruption) and domestic challenges from dual pricing in wholesale/rural channels where competitors sold at INR 4.5/9 versus Britannia's INR 5/10. Management expects these issues to normalize in Q1 FY27. E-commerce now contributes 6% of domestic sales (12%+ excluding low-value packs). The company plans calibrated price increases to offset fuel and laminate inflation, with wheat and cocoa being deflationary.
The earnings beat on profitability but miss on topline growth reflects temporary disruptions; management's confidence in Q1 FY27 recovery and strong e-commerce momentum could be positive signals, though rising input costs and competitive pressures in value packs remain concerns.
