Brookfield India Real Estate Trust REIT has informed the Exchange regarding Unitholding pattern for Report Q4 FY 2024-25
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Brookfield India Real Estate Trust has disclosed its unitholding pattern as of March 31, 2025, showing total outstanding units of 60.77 crore. The Sponsor and Sponsor Group holds 26.45% (16.08 crore units), entirely through foreign entities. Public unitholders hold the remaining 73.55%, with strong institutional participation: Mutual Funds at 17.73%, Insurance Companies at 11.90%, Foreign Portfolio Investors at 11.54%, and Bodies Corporates at 14.58%. Notably, 90% of the Sponsor Group's units (14.47 crore units) are pledged or encumbered, with the foreign bodies corporate entity having 91.93% of its holding pledged.
Retail investors should note the very high pledge ratio (90%) on sponsor group holdings, which signals significant leverage at the sponsor level and could pose a risk if invoked. On the positive side, broad public participation with strong institutional and FPI presence (combined FPIs ~12.10%) reflects good market acceptance of the REIT.
