Brookfield India Real Estate Trust REIT has informed the Exchange regarding Unitholding pattern post capital restructuring
Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
Brookfield India REIT allotted 3,22,58,065 (3.23 crore) new units to certain identified investors on a preferential basis on September 2, 2025, expanding the total outstanding units to 64.00 crore. After the allotment, the Sponsor/Sponsor Group holds 25.12% (16.08 crore units), with bodies corporate within that group holding 24.59%, of which 91.93% (14.47 crore units) are pledged or encumbered. Public unitholders hold the remaining 74.88%, dominated by Mutual Funds (16.70%), Insurance Companies (11.44%), Bodies Corporates (16.45%), and Foreign Portfolio Investors at 11.31%. The sponsor group as a whole has 90% of its units pledged. The filing is submitted under SEBI REIT Regulations and the July 2025 REIT Master Circular.
The preferential allotment grew the unit base by roughly 5.3%, modestly diluting existing unitholders. Existing investors should note that 90% of the sponsor group's body-corporate units are pledged, indicating leveraged sponsor positioning; meanwhile, strong institutional participation (MFs, insurers, FPIs together ~40%) signals continued institutional confidence in the REIT.
