BSE launches REITs and Commercial Real Estate Index for passive investment products

BSE has launched a new REITs and Commercial Real Estate Index with a base value of 1,000 and September 2022 as the base date. The index includes listed REITs and companies with significant commercial real estate assets and rental income, with a 20 percent cap on individual constituents to ensure diversification. It will be reconstituted semi-annually in March and September and can serve as a benchmark for ETFs, index funds, PMS, and mutual fund schemes.
