Revenue from operations for FY25 grew marginally to Rs. 4,128.77 lakhs from Rs. 4,089.47 lakhs (about 1% growth). The company swung from a loss after tax of Rs. 194.71 lakhs in FY24 to a small profit of Rs. 7.99 lakhs in FY25, but this was mainly because FY24 had a large exceptional item of Rs. 279.29 lakhs (employee retirement benefits) which is absent in FY25. Underlying operations remain weak — profit before exceptional items actually fell to Rs. 19.15 lakhs from Rs. 22.48 lakhs, as raw material costs surged nearly 16% while revenue barely grew. Q4 FY25 also showed a small profit of Rs. 4.71 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 20.52 lakhs in Q4 FY24. The balance sheet shows total borrowings of about Rs. 2,096 lakhs against equity of just Rs. 419 lakhs (debt-to-equity roughly 5x), and other equity is negative at Rs. -62.56 lakhs, signalling accumulated losses exceeding share capital. Operating cash flow was positive but thin at Rs. 26.71 lakhs.
The clean (unmodified) auditor opinion is a relief, but the thin profit, high leverage, and eroded reserves suggest the company remains financially fragile. Shareholders should watch closely for improvement in margins and any signs of debt reduction in coming quarters.
