Canara Bank announced two changes in its senior management effective 1 May 2026. Shri Arun Kumar Mishra, previously General Manager of Bengaluru Circle Office, has been promoted to Chief General Manager and Circle Head of Bengaluru Circle. Meanwhile, Shri Purshottam Chand, Chief General Manager of the Treasury Wing in Mumbai, has ceased his role upon attaining superannuation (retirement). The bank has shared Mishra's profile, noting he joined the bank in 1998 and holds a B.Sc (Nursing) degree along with insurance and banking certifications.
These are routine internal promotions and a retirement at the CGM level, unlikely to have any immediate impact on the bank's operations or stock price. The superannuation of the Treasury Wing head is a standard event.
