Capital Infra Trust, an Infrastructure Investment Trust (InvIT), has approved the opening of an Institutional Placement of units on December 16, 2025. The InvIT Committee of its Investment Manager (Gawar Investment Manager Pvt Ltd) set the floor price at Rs. 75.64 per unit, with a possible discount of up to 5% as approved by unitholders through a postal ballot on October 31, 2025. The committee also adopted the preliminary placement document and serially numbered application forms to be sent to eligible institutional investors. The final issue price will be determined by the Investment Manager in consultation with the lead managers.
Existing unitholders should expect dilution from this fresh issuance of units. The discounted floor price may exert short-term pressure on the unit price, though the capital raised is likely to fund further infrastructure acquisitions or growth, which could support long-term returns.
