Capital Infra Trust has successfully raised Rs. 1,250 crore through a Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) at Rs. 72.30 per unit, a 4.42% discount to the floor price of Rs. 75.64. With this QIP, combined with its January 2025 IPO and November 2025 preferential allotment, total equity raised in CY 2025 stands at approximately Rs. 3,173 crore. The proceeds will be used to acquire three operational Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) highway assets — Jodhpur Ring Road (Rajasthan), Hasanpur–Bakhtiyarpur (Bihar), and Korba highway (Chhattisgarh) — spanning 163.7 km with an average residual concession period of over 13.66 years. The acquisitions are being made at roughly a 34.70% discount to the independent valuer's assessed equity value. Leverage is to be maintained in the 45-47% range, with existing AAA/Stable credit ratings intact.
This capital raise expands the trust's portfolio with revenue-generating assets at an attractive valuation, supporting Distribution Per Unit (DPU) accretion and NAV growth. The strong participation from marquee institutional investors signals market confidence, while the 4.42% discount on floor price and dilution from a large equity raise are near-term considerations for existing unitholders.
