Capital Infra Trust disclosed its unitholding pattern after allotting 17,28,90,733 new units through an Institutional Placement on December 19, 2025. Total outstanding units rose from 31.87 crore to 49.16 crore following the issue. The Sponsor's stake was diluted sharply from 49.98% to 32.40%. Institutional participation widened, with mutual funds rising to 17.39% (from 7.86%), insurance companies to 10.42% (from 9.26%), and NBFCs newly holding 11.71%. No units were reported as pledged or encumbered by any holder category.
The capital raise broadens the unitholder base and brings in major institutional investors, which may improve liquidity. However, the Sponsor's effective stake has been materially diluted to below one-third, which existing unitholders should factor in.
