Crisil Ratings has reaffirmed Capital Infra Trust's highest credit rating of 'Crisil AAA/Stable' across all its instruments. This covers two Non-Convertible Debenture tranches of Rs. 250.00 crore (reduced from Rs. 944.66 crore) and Rs. 962.71 crore (reduced from Rs. 974.71 crore), as well as the Corporate Credit Rating. The outlook remains Stable, indicating the agency views the trust's ability to meet debt obligations as very strong. The significant reduction in the first NCD tranche suggests substantial debt repayment has taken place. AAA is the highest safety rating, carrying the lowest credit risk.
Positive for unitholders and debenture holders — the AAA/Stable reaffirmation confirms the trust's strong credit profile and low default risk. The sharp reduction in outstanding NCDs may also reduce future interest outflows, which is favorable for distributions.
