Bilcare Limited, the sole promoter of Caprihans India, has converted 3,30,000 convertible warrants into equity shares at Rs. 200 each (Rs. 10 face value + Rs. 190 premium), amounting to Rs. 6.60 crore. This is the third tranche of warrant conversion in FY 2025-26. With this allotment on 24 March 2026, Bilcare's stake in Caprihans has risen from 57.81% to 58.70% (88,18,325 to 91,48,325 shares). The promoter still holds 23,50,000 convertible warrants that remain to be converted in future tranches.
This is a positive signal of promoter confidence — Bilcare is putting in additional capital by exercising warrants, increasing its ownership in Caprihans. For shareholders, this strengthens the promoter's skin in the game, though it is a small incremental change (less than 1%) and was done via a preferential route rather than open market purchase.
