Carborundum Universal held its 71st AGM on August 7, 2025, via video conferencing, chaired by Mr. M M Murugappan. Shareholders transacted ordinary business including adoption of audited standalone and consolidated financial statements for FY25, which carried no qualifications from the auditors. A final dividend of Rs. 2.50 per share was declared for FY25, on top of the Rs. 1.50 interim dividend already paid, taking total FY25 dividend to Rs. 4.00 per share on a face value of Rs. 1. Mr. M M Murugappan was re-appointed as a Director retiring by rotation, and his commission for FY26 was approved. A new Secretarial Auditor (M/s. Sridharan & Sridharan Associates) was appointed for five years, and the cost auditor's remuneration of Rs. 5 lakh p.a. was ratified. The Board also approved Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) results earlier the same day, and e-voting results on the resolutions will be declared within two working days.
The total dividend payout of Rs. 4 per share for FY25 is a positive signal for income-focused shareholders, and a clean audit report is reassuring. Investors should watch for the detailed Q1 FY26 results, which were approved alongside the AGM and are likely to drive near-term stock sentiment.
