CARE Ratings Limited submitted its investor presentation and press release for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) to the exchanges. On a standalone basis, operating income grew 16% YoY to Rs. 75.6 crore, with EBITDA at Rs. 27.2 crore (23% YoY, 36% margin) and PAT at Rs. 29.1 crore (21% YoY, 32% margin). Consolidated revenue grew 19% YoY to Rs. 93.9 crore, with EBITDA at Rs. 27.8 crore (28% YoY, 30% margin) and PAT at Rs. 26.5 crore. The ratings business contributed Rs. 82.9 crore (18% YoY) while the non-ratings segment grew 30% YoY to Rs. 11.0 crore, now contributing 12% of consolidated revenue. MD & Group CEO Mehul Pandya called the start 'positive' but urged viewing performance through an annual lens given the global macro environment.
Strong Q1 results with double-digit revenue growth and healthy margins in both standalone and consolidated numbers should be viewed positively by investors. However, the MD's cautious tone about quarterly extrapolation and the broader macro headwinds (moderating bank credit growth) suggest investors should track annual trends rather than extrapolate Q1 momentum.
