Castrol India released an updated investor presentation for the 360 ONE Capital 16th Annual Investor Conference on 29 May 2026. Q1 FY26 financials show revenue of Rs 1,763 crore, EBITDA of Rs 317 crore, and PAT of Rs 228 crore, with volume growth exceeding 8% versus Q1 2025. The company maintains its #1 market position in automotive lubricants with distribution reaching approximately 150,000 outlets including 43,000 in rural areas across 9,000 villages. Strategic highlights include a new management structure with Saugata Basuray becoming MD from 1 June, expansion into auto care and industrial segments showing 94% growth in step-out sectors, and a 100,000+ auto care units sold milestone. BP's announced sale of approximately 65% stake in Castrol to Stonepeak remains underway with updates pending. The company is investing in EV fluids, re-refined base oils, and digital platforms like FastScan with 1.5 lakh+ daily scans.
Strong Q1 performance with volume growth signals resilience, but the pending bp-Stonepeak stake sale creates uncertainty on promoter holding. New management and focus on high-growth segments like rural and EV-ready fluids could drive medium-term growth.
