Ceigall India shared its Q1 FY26 investor presentation showing revenue growth but sharp profit decline. Standalone revenue rose 8.7% YoY to ₹8,183 Mn while consolidated revenue grew 4.3% YoY to ₹8,382 Mn. However, standalone PAT fell 19.1% YoY to ₹559 Mn and consolidated PAT dropped 35.1% YoY to ₹513 Mn, hit by higher construction and finance costs. EBITDA margins compressed to 11.42% (standalone) and 13.02% (consolidated) from 12.76% and 15.61% a year ago. The company reported a healthy order book of ₹1,03,374 Mn as on June 30, 2025, with 22 ongoing projects. Ceigall announced a strategic diversification into power transmission, emerging as L1 bidder for a 400/220 kV Velgaon substation project worth ~₹400 Cr. Net working capital days rose to 75, and consolidated debt stood at ₹14,247 Mn with net debt-to-equity at 0.5x.
The sharp YoY profit decline despite revenue growth highlights margin pressure from rising input and finance costs, which may concern investors in the near term. However, the strong ₹1,03,374 Mn order book provides long-term revenue visibility, and the new foray into power transmission could open a stable, annuity-like revenue stream. Shareholders should watch for margin recovery in coming quarters and execution of HAM projects.
