CDSL has published a notice (in Financial Express and Loksatta on July 13, 2026) informing shareholders that equity shares corresponding to unclaimed/unpaid dividends for seven or more consecutive years are liable to be transferred to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF) under Section 124(6) of the Companies Act, 2013. Unclaimed dividends from FY 2018-19 onwards are covered. Shareholders must submit claim documents to the company or its RTA (MUFG Intime India) by October 12, 2026 to avoid transfer of shares to IEPF.
Routine regulatory compliance. Shareholders with unclaimed CDSL dividends since FY 2018-19 must act before October 12, 2026 to retain their shares.
