Centum Electronics reported strong FY25 standalone results with revenue rising to Rs. 7,479 million (up from Rs. 6,321 million last year) and profit after tax of Rs. 528 million (up from Rs. 363 million). QIP proceeds of ~Rs. 2,100 million raised in March 2025 were mainly used to prepay borrowings, strengthening the balance sheet. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 6 per share (60%), subject to shareholder approval. On the board front, Dr. Udayant Malhoutra was appointed as Independent Director for 5 years, Mr. Apparao V Mallavarapu was reappointed as Chairman and Managing Director for another 5 years, and Mr. Nikhil Mallavarapu was elevated from Executive Director to Joint Managing Director. Long-serving CFO Mr. K S Desikan will retire on August 31, 2025 on superannuation, with Mr. Sundararajan Partharasathy set to take over as CFO from September 1, 2025 as part of a planned succession. Statutory auditors S.R. Batliboi & Associates issued an unqualified opinion on the financial statements.
Strong earnings growth, a healthy dividend, and a clean audit report are positive for shareholders, while the orderly CFO succession and continuity in the promoter-led leadership suggest stable governance with no near-term disruption expected.
