Centum Electronics has filed a quarterly update on the use of proceeds from its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) of ₹2,100 million raised on March 13, 2025. The funds were originally earmarked for three purposes: repaying borrowings (₹1,149.92 million), capital expenditure on equipment and machinery (₹349.68 million), and general corporate purposes (₹499.87 million). Of the borrowing repayment allocation, ₹1,142.34 million has already been utilised. The general corporate purposes allocation was slightly revised upward from ₹499.87 million to ₹507.20 million because actual QIP issue expenses came in ₹7.33 million lower than originally estimated. No capital expenditure has been utilised yet during the quarter. The Audit Committee reviewed the statement and had no comments, and the auditors also raised no concerns.
There is no negative impact — the company confirms zero deviation in the use of QIP funds, signalling disciplined deployment. The minor upward revision in the general corporate purposes pool is a routine adjustment from lower-than-expected issue costs and is not material for shareholders.
