Century Plyboards reported mixed full-year results for FY26. Consolidated revenue grew 19.2% to ₹5,39,718 Lacs driven by strong performance in MDF and Laminate segments. However, standalone revenue grew more modestly at 14.2% to ₹4,64,597 Lacs. Consolidated net profit jumped 44.2% to ₹26,833 Lacs due to better operational efficiency, while standalone net profit declined 2.7% to ₹27,682 Lacs. The company incurred significant foreign exchange losses of ₹1,961 Lacs (standalone) and ₹4,106 Lacs (consolidated) due to currency fluctuations. Exceptional items of ₹718 Lacs (standalone) and ₹768 Lacs (consolidated) were recorded for new labour code implementation costs. The Board recommended a dividend of ₹7 per share. Auditors issued unmodified (clean) opinions on both standalone and consolidated financials.
The strong consolidated profit growth despite forex headwinds is positive for shareholders. However, the standalone profit decline and significant forex losses may concern investors. The clean audit opinion removes audit-related concerns.
